First Entry

Okay, so I decided to start a blog so I could share my experience with everyone. I actually stole the idea from Deana, for those of you who don't know Deana, she has a blog site because she recently gave birth to twins. Today is the second day of my "liquid protein diet". It basically consists of broth, cottage cheese, yogurt, jello and water based beverages with no sugar. UGH!!! I knew my eating habits would change after the surgery, but not two weeks before it. The doctor put me on this type of restriction to help shrink my liver, I guess it makes the laproscopic surgery easier. For anyone who wants to know more about the type of surgery I am having, laproscopic bypass, check out renewedreflections.com, its great. It has alot of information and pictures of the procedure I'm having.
Jarad and I are planning to take my before surgery picture and measurements tonight, since after two weeks of liquids I don't know how much of a true representation it would be. The diet is making me cranky, imagine that. I think it's the withdrawal from the Mickey's Sweet Tea. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better. I went to walmart tonight and stocked up on jello.

Hey Kelly. I wanted to be the first to leave you a message. Yuck to the liquid protein diet. Good luck to you the next two weeks in getting ready for the surgery. I'm sure you are excited and nervous too. Everything will go well for you. Let me know if you need anything. I know I'm in Pittsburgh a lot seeing the babies but if you need horses fed or anything let us know. Love you!

Hi Kelly,
I already warned Jarad that you woudn't be a happy camper for the next couple of weeks. Anyways was wondering if you could take hair vitamins? you can buy them at GNC. I have a couple of customers that have had the same surgery done and they lost a lot of hair because of the malnutrition, I thought that that might help.
